Need Something New in 2009
Pahiatua Girl Guiding is looking for women to join our group. If you are looking for a way to give service to the local community. We may have a role that would suit you.
District Coordinator - If you like administration, leadership and would be keen to run our district teams, this role may suit you. Previous Guiding experience is not required, but would be of assistance.
Brownie and Guide Leaders - If you want to gain skills working with young women these roles involved running a weekly unit with other leaders. Full training is given, our girls are delightful and a cool uniform is provided.
Support Team Members - If you want to give some time to a community group but not keen for a large role the support team is the place for you. We meet for an hour a month and ensure the District keeps running. Really easy and we have coffee and cake at all meetings.

If you would be interested in knowing more about Girl Guiding in Pahiatua or any of these roles please Contact Carol Pound 06 376-6654 or email for more information

The Uniform Shop Is Open On:
Thursday 29th January & Friday 30th January, from 10am – 2pm

Junior Prize-giving
Thursday 11th December, 7pm in the College Hall. All welcome
We ask that you please be seated by 6.40pm so that we can start promptly at 7pm.

Last Day for Junior School
Friday 12th December, 11am.
Buses will be running at normal times, so you will need to make other arrangements for your child to get home earlier.
The school office will close from noon Thursday 18th December and will re-open Monday 26 January 2009.

Book/Equipment Amnesty
We advise that we have an amnesty on books, sports uniforms and equipment that belong to the school. We would be grateful to receive these items back, no questions asked. Perhaps a search of your child's room or your book shelves might uncover library books, text books and sports uniforms. Please return them to the front office at the College as soon as possible.

National Children's Day 2009
National Children's Day 2009 is on Sunday, March 1st 2009, from 10am -2pm at Carnival Park, Pahiatua. Organising is currently underway. To make a success of this event, we have a request for adult helpers. If you have an hour you could spend in the time you are at the event then let your school office staff know (with name and phone number) and contact will be made closer to the time.
The Committee's hope is for the event to be once again an opportunity for all families and their children to enjoy the best of what Pahiatua has to offer. We aim to ensure the event is accessible to all children in Pahiatua and surrounding community.
