In the event of the College grounds or buildings being unusable for any reason and students needing cover, the entire student body would be removed either to the Pahiatua Town Hall, the Pahiatua Community Church hall, or the Pahiatua New Life Centre hall (depending upon the conditions prevailing after the emergency). The College has developed a comprehensive plan to handle any major emergency (fire, earthquake, chemical spill, etc.) occurring in school time.
In the event of such an emergency being confined to the College grounds, students would be retained at school until 3.15pm as usual.

In the event of a major event, where roads were impassable and damage/injuries had been sustained in the community, students would be retained and cared for at the College until picked up by a parent or guardian, however long this took.
